Car Accidents on I-80 caused by Ohio Valley Snowstorm

Dec 26, 2012
A string of car accidents occurred today across northwestern Ohio from a strong winter storm that had blanketed the Ohio Valley region. These car accident photos were taken by Steve Sopko along Interstate 80 in northwestern Ohio. Numerous accidents occurred when heavy snow had caused slippery conditions throughout much of Interstate 80. Travel across northwestern Ohio through northern Indiana has been slow going due to heavy snow that has fallen since this morning.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until tonight across much of the area, but most of the snow is expected to diminish this evening. Travel conditions should slowly improve across Interstate 80, but some areas still may be treacherous.
