Storm Chasing Vacation This Weekend!

May 18, 2010
The computers models are hinting at a possible severe weather event across the plains this weekend into parts of early next week. Storm Chasing Fever will be out in the field probably leaving sometime Friday to chase this severe weather threat starting Saturday, May 22.

Below are images from this morning's GFS model which shows gulf moisture in place, strong instability and a long wave trough settling into the western plains. These parameters are usually favorable for severe weather but things are subject to change the next couple of days.
